This is a fabulous way to make beef soup it makes a hearty bowlful for a family of at least 4 with second helpings!
My growing boys would never have eaten this if they knew it was a tin of corned beef (yeuck!) but my Gran & Mother used to make soup in this way during and following the war, and it stuck as a family staple.
Corned beef can also be chopped small and used as an alternative to minced beef in spagettii bolognaise, again you would not know if you tasted it, and I would prefer to use corned beef than budget mince (with all that horrible fat!)again the boys never knew!
