Hello...I am new here.
Can anyone advise?

I have a credit card debt which has been agreed by aktiv kapital. As unenforceable.

Under new legislation this is still payable but they are not able to take me to court. I have been paying ?1 a month to avoid a default.

Should I continue to pay them? The original bank wrote saying unenforceable but say they can default me and I should pay. But they have already sold the debt to aktiv.
I am getting confused.
What is the to date law on this?

Lay

Hello Layeney and welcome.

I'm afraid we cannot give you legal advice. You'd need to consult with a solicitor rather than debt advisers for that. We're also not experts in the area of unenforceabilty.

Sorry that I cannot help you more.

You may find that some of the consumer forums, rather than debt advice forums, will be better positioned to share some thoughts with you on the subject. The Consumer Action Group website often covers this type of topic for example.
